Too Much Hustle Can Be Hazardous to Your Health
I’ve been talking about hustle with some of my clients and in my Mastermind. Hustle’s been getting a lot of buzz lately.
My people are wondering whether they’re hustling enough, and if they even should be hustling. And, if they are hustling, where on earth are they hustling to.
First, you have to know that I hate hustle. I’ve been through adrenal burnout too many times…
(trust me, once is too many, and 3x is just being stubborn!)
…to believe that I can live in a ‘hustle’ mentality and still be healthy.
So I don’t do it. I don’t like it. And I tell my clients that it’s a crap way to run a business.
Sometimes You’re Business Needs You to Hustle
However, when you’re just starting to build, baby, you’re gonna need some hustle. It’s how you build that precious momentum.
And it’s okay to hustle for a little while.
Here’s the way I see it:
Hustle is a bad long-term strategy but a great short-term tactic.
We hustle until our business systems can carry the load of what we’re building.
Or we hustle until our body can no longer handle the adrenaline and stress of hustle.
If You Have to Hustle, You’re Missing Systems
If ALL we do is hustle, it means we’re not building a strong business foundation of systems and referrals.
The goal is to get energetic and financial momentum going in our business. Then, it can cash cow for us as we turn our focus to building our legacy.
So… if you need to hustle then you get right out there and hustle. Don’t let anyone shame you for it – including you! Build a business that can support you with its marketing and sales systems.
Need help figuring out what those systems and support structures need to look like? Or even where your precious hustle is best focused?
That’s what I’m here for. Let’s talk.
