Balancing Hustle + Self-Care
Get Your To Do List Handled
I am deep in development and delivery mode this week as I work with my 1-1 clients AND run the 5-day Nail Your Marketing Message Challenge in the PowerHouse AND the 3 Essentials webinar on Thursday.
I’m in the ‘busy’ this week – dare I say it? the HUSTLE! – and I’m loving it. There’s some adrenaline flowing and it feels… invigorating. 😍
If you’ve been around here for a minute, you know that I don’t like hustle. It typically leads to burnout, bitterness, and short-term cycles of fake-growth that feel exciting but don’t actually build your business.
AND, I’ve always said that while hustle is a terrible long-term strategy, it is a GREAT SHORT-TERM TACTIC.
That’s the way I’m using it this week: I’ve compressed my timelines on a whole bunch of projects to create momentum and get things moving.
I’m looking forward to basking in the glow of GETTING SH!T DONE!!!
That’s always a great feeling.
After the Hustle, Always the Self-Care
By the end of this week, I’ll have launched a NEW THING, delivered a Challenge, done my first Instagram collaboration, and even delivered a skit at church (which is SO outside my Comfort Zone but, y’know, what I’m being called to do so I’m going to step up and meet that challenge!).
I know that by the time Sunday afternoon rolls around I’m gonna be pretty dang tired and mentally spent.
And I know that next week is my backstage week and I have nothing booked. No calls. Zero commitments. No nothing. Just me and open space to plan, dream, complete, and create.
I freakin’ love those backstage weeks. 😍
It’s the paradox of being a soulpreneur, I think: I love my clients, I love what I do, and I love my backstage and off-stage time where I can move deeply into stillness and connection to the Divine to download my ‘what comes next’ plans.
Time away is necessary for me to show up fully and powerfully for my clients.
One of the gifts of living this intentional life I’ve created is that I get to live in the both / and. I don’t have to choose between either this or that – either hustle or stillness, either clients or not – I’ve learned to create intentional balance and I’ve learned what works for me and what doesn’t.
I believe that that’s what maturity looks like. 😉
Embracing Maturity – What It Looks Like
Y’know… maturity. When you finally reach a place where you’re not being driven by fear and anxiety, you’ve developed at least a little bit of surrender, discipline, and trust, and you’re able to enjoy some of the fruits of your labour.
It’s a good thing and I’m so grateful to be here. And I can see how much further this path stretches and how much further I have to walk. The learning never stops. The growth never stops as long as you stay in the game.
If you’re feeling pulled betwixt and between and you’re not sure why, let’s talk. There is a better way to live than trapped in hustle and feeling out of control of your own life.
I’ve got some exciting content planned for you as we move into 2020. I’ve listed 3 of the upcoming events below.
I’m here to support you as your grow your dreams.

15-Day Pyjama Planning Party + Virtual Retreat
It’s a full 15-days of organizing to get you ready for a solid and profitable 2020.
Right smack dab in the middle of that Planning Party, I’ll be running a 3-day virtual planning retreat, exclusively for everyone who has joined the Seasons of Success.
That’s right! For the first time in 8 years, I’m not going to Ste. Anne’s in January to run my luxury retreat. This year, I’m bringing the strategies and planning straight into the comfort of your home.
I’m excited for the magic that we’ll create. Stay tuned… I’ll be releasing more details as we get closer to the date. Just make sure you block off January 9-11 on your calendar so you don’t miss a thing.
